UNSEEN RP

Official Realistic Roleplay Rules

THIS ISN'T ANOTHER FIVEM CITY. THIS IS UNSEEN.

Welcome to Unseen RP

Unseen is built around one simple principle: roleplay should feel believable.

We're not here to create another city where every interaction ends in a gunfight, every traffic stop becomes a pursuit and every player is trying to win.

We're building a world where your character's choices matter, where relationships develop naturally, where businesses operate like businesses and where criminal activity carries genuine consequences.

Realism does not mean you cannot have fun. It means that your actions should make sense within the world around you.

We expect all players to take their characters, other people's stories and the environment seriously.

1. The Unseen Standard

1.1 — Realism Comes First

Everything you do in Unseen should be reasonably believable in a real-world setting.

Just because GTA mechanics allow something does not mean it is acceptable roleplay.

1.2 — Roleplay Over Winning

There are no winners or losers in good roleplay.

Being arrested, losing a vehicle, having a business fail or getting caught committing a crime can create just as much roleplay as succeeding.

Your aim should be to develop a story, not beat another player.

1.3 — Actions Have Consequences

Every decision your character makes should carry realistic consequences.

If you commit a serious crime, expect serious police attention. If you suffer significant injuries, expect recovery time. If you repeatedly cause trouble, expect your character's reputation to reflect that.

1.4 — Character Consistency

Your character should have a consistent personality, background and motivations.

Changing your character's behaviour simply to gain an advantage is not acceptable.

1.5 — Common Sense

We cannot write a rule for every possible situation.

If an action is clearly unrealistic, disruptive or performed to exploit game mechanics, staff may take action even where it is not specifically listed below.

2. General Roleplay Rules

2.1 — Metagaming

Using information that your character has not obtained through legitimate in-character interactions is prohibited.

This includes Discord messages, livestreams, other characters and external communication.

2.2 — Powergaming

Using mechanics or roleplay actions to force unrealistic outcomes on others is prohibited.

Players must be given reasonable opportunities to respond.

2.3 — Random Deathmatch (RDM)

Attacking another player without a legitimate roleplay reason and appropriate escalation is prohibited.

2.4 — Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

Using a vehicle to injure or kill people without believable justification is prohibited.

2.5 — Combat Logging

Disconnecting or deliberately avoiding an ongoing scene to escape consequences is prohibited.

2.6 — No Out-of-Character Conflict

OOC arguments must not interrupt roleplay.

Concerns should be handled through the official reporting system.

2.7 — Exploits & Cheating

Cheating, exploits, duplication and intentionally abusing game mechanics are strictly prohibited.

3. Value of Life & Fear

3.1 — Your Life Matters

Your character must behave as though they have one life worth protecting.

You cannot disregard serious threats simply because you know the game will allow you to respawn.

3.2 — Realistic Fear

Being threatened with a firearm, surrounded by armed individuals or placed in a life-threatening situation should produce an appropriate response.

Fear does not always mean compliance, but resistance must be believable.

3.3 — Reckless Behaviour

Intentionally creating unreasonable life-threatening situations without believable character motivation is prohibited.

Examples include deliberately jumping a vehicle from a bridge to escape arrest or provoking armed individuals purely to initiate combat.

3.4 — Self-Preservation

Your character should consider their health, safety, family, employment and future before making dangerous decisions.

4. Realistic Driving

4.1 — Vehicle Capabilities

Every vehicle must be used in a way that reflects its realistic capabilities.

Sports cars, saloons, SUVs and off-road vehicles all behave differently.

4.2 — No GTA Driving

Unrealistic driving is prohibited, including:

Launching vehicles over large jumps during pursuits.

Driving up near-vertical mountains.

Using standard road cars to cross extreme terrain.

Deliberately jumping from significant heights to escape police.

Continuing to drive after damage that would realistically disable the vehicle.

4.3 — Collisions Have Consequences

Serious vehicle collisions must be roleplayed appropriately.

A high-speed crash may result in injury, vehicle damage and an inability to continue driving.

4.4 — Realistic Pursuits

Police pursuits must remain believable for both criminals and officers.

Being chased does not give either party permission to ignore vehicle limitations or realistic behaviour.

4.5 — Vehicle Modifications

Modifications must be taken into consideration.

For example, a lowered SUV should not perform like a dedicated off-road vehicle.

5. Injury, Medical & Death Roleplay

5.1 — Realistic Injuries

Gunshot wounds, stab wounds, major falls, serious collisions and other significant injuries must be treated as serious events.

Players should react appropriately to the type and severity of injury.

5.2 — Medical Treatment

Medical treatment is a roleplay experience, not simply a method of restoring health.

Players must engage with medical personnel and allow reasonable assessment and treatment.

5.3 — Recovery Matters

Being discharged from hospital does not automatically mean your character is fully recovered.

A character who has suffered serious injuries should not immediately return to physically demanding or dangerous activities.

5.4 — No Injury Exploitation

Players cannot use animations, emotes or mechanics to disregard injuries, escape medical scenes or gain an unfair advantage.

5.5 — New Life Rule

If your character dies and respawns, they must not use knowledge of the events immediately leading to their death to seek revenge or continue the same conflict.

If revived, you must continue to roleplay any remaining injuries appropriately.

5.6 — Permanent Character Death

Permanent character death must be agreed to by the player concerned or handled under a separate, clearly published and staff-approved permanent death policy.

6. Realistic Criminal Roleplay

6.1 — Crime Must Have Purpose

Criminal activity should have believable motivations.

Money, revenge, desperation, organised crime and personal circumstances can all create legitimate criminal storylines.

Committing crimes solely because you are bored is not the standard expected in Unseen.

6.2 — Violence Must Be Justified

Violence must be proportionate to the situation and reasonably supported by the roleplay leading up to it.

An insult, argument or minor disagreement does not automatically justify lethal force.

6.3 — Firearms Are Serious

Producing or discharging a firearm must have a believable reason.

A gun should not be the default response to every disagreement.

6.4 — Robbery Roleplay

Robberies must have a genuine roleplay purpose.

Players must not repeatedly target individuals for items or money simply because the mechanics allow it.

6.5 — Hostage Situations

Hostage scenarios should involve genuine risk, believable demands and meaningful negotiation.

Using friends as willing hostages or manufacturing hostage situations purely to force police into predictable outcomes is prohibited.

6.6 — Gang Realism

Criminal organisations are expected to develop identities, relationships, rivalries and long-term storylines.

Gang conflicts must have meaningful escalation and should not become constant shootings without progression.

6.7 — No Cop Baiting

Deliberately provoking police simply to generate pursuits, shootouts or attention is prohibited.

6.8 — Accept Criminal Consequences

If you choose to commit criminal offences, you must accept the possibility of investigation, arrest, prosecution, imprisonment and the loss of illegal property.

7. Police & Emergency Services

7.1 — Professional Conduct

Emergency service roles carry responsibility.

Police, ambulance and fire service personnel must act professionally, appropriately and realistically.

7.2 — Police Are Not Here to Win

Police officers must prioritise public safety, investigation, proportionate enforcement and meaningful interactions.

Not every situation should end in an arrest or use of force.

7.3 — Realistic Police Procedures

Searches, arrests, investigations, pursuits and interviews must follow the city's published police procedures.

7.4 — Proportionate Force

Officers must respond appropriately to the threat presented and must not use unnecessary force.

7.5 — Medical Authority

Medical personnel are responsible for assessing and treating patients in accordance with medical procedures and scene safety.

Medical scenes must not be rushed or disregarded simply because a player wants to return to their previous activity.

7.6 — Department Accountability

Emergency service personnel must follow their individual department rules.

Misuse of emergency service permissions, equipment or authority may result in removal from the role.

8. Civilian Life & Economy

8.1 — Civilian Roleplay Is Essential

Unseen is not solely a police-and-criminal server.

Civilian life is a major part of our identity.

Employment, housing, shopping, restaurants, socialising and business ownership should all contribute to the city's living environment.

8.2 — Realistic Jobs

Players must carry out jobs in a believable manner and must not abuse scripts for financial gain.

8.3 — Business Roleplay

Businesses should operate as genuine roleplay opportunities.

Owners should make reasonable efforts to provide services, interact with customers and contribute to the economy.

8.4 — Character Finances

Financial decisions should make sense for your character.

Money and possessions should be developed through legitimate progression or believable criminal activity rather than exploiting systems.

8.5 — Everyday Interactions

Not every scene needs to involve crime, drama or confrontation.

Ordinary interactions are encouraged and are an important part of building a realistic city.

9. Communication & Behaviour

9.1 — Remain In Character

Players should remain in character throughout their time in the city.

Out-of-character conversations should be kept to appropriate channels.

9.2 — Respect Other Players

Harassment, discriminatory abuse, malicious behaviour and personal attacks are prohibited.

9.3 — Respect Ongoing Scenes

Do not deliberately disrupt or interrupt scenes without legitimate in-character involvement.

9.4 — No Forced Roleplay Outcomes

Players must not force permanent character changes, relationships, business transfers or deaths onto another player without the appropriate consent and approval.

9.5 — Roleplay Boundaries

Sexual violence roleplay is prohibited. Other sensitive storylines must respect player boundaries and applicable community policies.

10. Staff & Rule Enforcement

10.1 — Staff Reports

If you believe a rule has been broken, use the official ticket system and provide evidence where possible.

10.2 — Finish the Scene

Where safe and reasonable, continue the scene and address suspected rule breaks afterwards.

10.3 — Evidence

Staff will consider available evidence, surrounding context and the circumstances of a situation before reaching a decision.

10.4 — Fair Enforcement

Staff decisions should be fair, consistent and proportionate.

Depending on the seriousness of the behaviour, consequences may include warnings, suspensions, removal from whitelisted roles or permanent bans.

10.5 — Community Responsibility

Every player contributes to the quality of the city.

You are responsible not only for following the written rules but also for maintaining the realistic roleplay standards expected at Unseen.

Our Promise to the Community

Unseen is being built to offer something different.

A city where running a business can be as rewarding as running a criminal organisation. Where police investigate instead of simply chasing. Where injuries matter, relationships develop and everyday actions create opportunities.

We don't expect perfection from every player, and we recognise that not everyone has years of roleplay experience.

What we do expect is effort, common sense, respect and a genuine willingness to contribute.

If something goes wrong, roleplay the consequences.

If you lose, allow the story to develop.

If you have an opportunity to create an experience for another player, take it.

We're not building a city where everything revolves around winning.

We're building one where the stories feel real.

THIS ISN'T ANOTHER FIVEM CITY. THIS IS UNSEEN.
